We are currently looking for a motivated Assistant Supervisor for our Unaccompanied Children (UC) Program. The Assistant Supervisor assumes leadership responsibilities in the unit as assigned by the Supervisor and acts in place of the Supervisor in his/her absence. The Assistant Supervisor assists in the orientation, supervision, and evaluation of staff, assigning staff job-specific tasks, providing supervision of youth, implementing program schedule, and accommodating program activities. At the end of every shift, the Assistant coordinates quality improvement reviews and reports daily activities to House Supervisor, if not on duty.

Pay: $21 - $23 per hour

Full Time Position

Essential: (Required)

  • Capable of vigorous physical activity, active participation in recreation, and the physical crisis intervention program of the agency at all times.
  • Capable, at all times, of evacuating the children in an emergency via all primary and secondary exits.
  • Positive, friendly attitude toward children.
  • AAS Degree or High School Diploma plus a minimum three years child care experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated potential and/or experience in management skills, leadership qualities
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License with good driving record as determined by the Agency.


Non-Essential: (Preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Strong personal interests in variety of life activities.
  • Related skills, training, or certificates.
