About the role:
This individual will require an understanding of the scope of Medical Affairs training and development as well as excellent organizational and project management skills. The position will deliver by building strong relationships with key partners in a highly matrixed team environment. This role is accountable for leading and managing US Medical Affairs (USMA) Training objectives, learning programs, and field excellence. Utilize scientific expertise and field medical experience to manage, conduct, facilitate and evaluate the USMA training program and resources.
Essential Job Functions:
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Lead the USMA training and excellence team to leverage scientific/clinical acumen and provide dynamic training support across all therapeutic areas and products.
- Lead field Medical excellence efforts by leveraging materials and content for field resources and managing the user experience by collaborating with Information Services (IS) team.
- In collaboration with Global Medical Affairs, manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and interactive training and development content.
- Collaborate with internal Subject Matter Experts on LMS content and enhance the access and delivery of training.
- Manage and lead the on-boarding of USMA colleagues by leveraging field medical experience and supporting the foundational learning and plan for continuous development.
- Coordinate facilitators and ensure training resources available for live training by leveraging scientific/medical expertise and prior medical affairs field experience to host and facilitate training sessions/workshops.
- Provide cross-functional training support to Sales, Managed Markets, Global Medical Affairs, International Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Science or Medicine - PhD, PharmD or MD.
- Strong understanding of Medical Affairs function and training/excellence needs, with at least 5-7 years within the Pharmaceutical Industry, or at least 5 years within Medical Affairs.
- Prior field Medical Affairs experience preferred.
- Exemplary presentation and public speaking skills.
- Proficiency with LMS and the ability to effectively utilize proprietary software and exceptional writing, editing and proofreading and analytical skills.
- Excellent ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple competing assignments and responsibilities.
- Education or training experience, including design, delivery and evaluation of learning programs (preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to develop and maintain a good working relationship with the internal and external customers.
- High-level of personal and professional integrity and ethics.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $148,000-$194,250. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
