Assumes leadership role within IT in all areas relating to application architecture requirements, establishment, future direction and ongoing support. Designs data integration solutions including process for deployment of solutions into the development, QA and production environments. Provides knowledge to extended team on how to integrate various data sources and architect system implementations. Is the strategic critical success factor for IT in the role of providing timely, agile and accurate information to our customers and business partners.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Design and build cloud computing and event-driven architectures with high availability at global scale
  • Establish best practices and policies for the utilization of Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) products
  • Design and/or enhance multi-tenant architecture utilizing virtual resources that can be consumed and scaled as needed
  • Design and/or build event-enabling services for decoupling application logic and developing micro-services
  • Lead and/or manage a diverse team of Business and IT professionals in delivering results
  • Collaborate and partner with various organizational levels to ensure timely delivery of technology driven business solutions aligned with company strategies, defined business priorities, and regulatory mandates
  • Must adhere to all compliance standards
  • 1. Business Consultancy: Adopts a leadership role in influencing IS-related business decisions through a consistent and direct engagement of clients at all levels in multiple business domans. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of multiple business domains, including all business processes, and the interactions between these business domains. Consistently influences through an acknowledged recognition of client needs and corresponding IS opportunities. Communicates with clients in business terms. Independently proposes new and improved business processes, championing innovation where possible. Addresses all other aspects of the IS Business Partnering Business Consultancy role.

    2. Project Management: Independently plans, organizes and oversees resources to achieve the goals and objectives of multiple small projects or a large project. Addresses all other aspects of the IS Business Partnering Project Manager role.

    3. Demand Management: Performs a liaison function between the business and all providers of technical services. In close partnership with all business stakeholders, influences, matches and independently prioritizes complex demands on multiple IS services to maximize value to the business. Addresses all other aspects of the IS Business Partnering Demand Management role.

    4. Domain Architecture: Based on a thorough understanding of all processes within a business domain, analyzes, defines and documents the relationship of all systems and services that support this domain. Governs this single-domain IS Landscape. Identifies and with supervision, proposes improvements to individual IS systems or services, to business or IS processes supported by such, or to the relationship between IS systems / services and business processes. With supervision, influences business clients and IS colleagues on Application Landscape decisions that drive the implementation of the proposed domain improvements. Demonstrates all other aspects of the IS Business Partnering Domain Architect role.

    5. Program Management: Leads small Programs. Influences in all other aspects of the IS Business Partnering Program Management role.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree from an accredited institution with four-plus (4+) years IT experience
  • In lieu of a degree, ten-plus (10+) years of relevant IT experience required.
  • Previous SW Development experience preferred
  • Must be an expert in design and/or re-engineering enterprise wide view of the data, applications and respective integration points. Must analyze information requirements and design the required architecture to support those requirements.
  • Significant experience in Cloud Solutions (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) strategy and implementation for mid or large size organizations (this includes private/public Clouds – on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or VMWare)
  • Must be experienced in information architecture, platform/application architecture, design and development of cloud-based solution, database administration, data integration, information/data modeling technologies, and data warehouse architecture
  • Must have designed well-architected enterprise solution framework based on operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization
  • Relevant experience to enable selection criteria for cloud providers and application suitability assessments including detailed cloud architecture design for global scale and high availability
  • Proven experience in designing and building technical solutions using microservices architecture capabilities, technology stacks such as LAMP, MEAN
  • Experience in working with senior leadership team to design technology and process landscape and develop overall cloud solution strategy
  • Ability to take major ownership in orchestrating workshops and facilitate stakeholders interactive sessions on cloud operating models, cloud business value, DevOps processes, and application/infrastructure modernization
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing change management and competing priorities
  • Ability to work with the business and IT leadership across multiple functions
  • Excellent articulation, communication and strong inter personal skills
  • Experience in supporting migration of application workloads to cloud
  • Experience with designing, implementing, or operating IT systems on leading commercial Cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google
  • Experience with DevOps operating model and continuous delivery process such as containerized application platform (OpenShift/Kubernetes), Dockers, CD/CI pipeline tools, Atlassian toolstack etc.
  • Experience with design and development of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based solutions, including Machine Learning, NLP/NLU
  • A background in software development and experience in configuration management (tools like Chef and puppet)
  • Technology understanding of API management solutions and their role across enabling an enterprise cloud
  • Experience with TOGAF, Zachman, or ITIL
