Our group employs an interdisciplinary approach to engagements and is accustomed to evaluating complex, highly leveraged situations in short time frames. We are also a recognized leader in achieving merger and acquisition transactions for distressed companies.
FR hires new Associates to work specifically with the group, assisting with a variety of transactions, including creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed mergers & acquisitions. The group offers a unique opportunity for Financial Analysts to work on projects that provide exposure to various financial advisory and investment banking products and industries. These services include:

Advising clients in out-of-court and Chapter 11 restructurings

Debt and equity financings

Distressed M&A advisory services

Special-situation principal investing

Participating in complex negotiation on behalf of our clients
Associates are typically members of deal teams comprising at least one Managing Director, Vice President, Associate, and Financial Analyst.
Basic Qualifications

The ideal candidate should be motivated, creative and outgoing, and should possess strong skills in financial analysis

Candidates must have a strong knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory, keen analytical capabilities

Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Preferred Qualifications
-
At least three years of investment banking or equivalent finance experience is required

Prior restructuring, distressed investing, leveraged finance, debt capital markets, or similar experience is required

B.A. or B.S. in finance, accounting, business or applied economics and / or course work in accounting and finance is highly recommended; an MBA is not required

Fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications

Strong financial and computer skills

Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff

Strong analytical abilities; including financial modeling skills
Salary Range
Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:
$175,000.00-$225,000.00
Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience and the location where this position may be filled.
