Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an Associate Illustrated Parts Catalog Author to join our team in Seal Beach, CA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing various engineering source data packages for line replaceable components to be published in the Boeing Illustrated Parts Catalog.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts engineering review and dispositions changes made by Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), FAA or manufacturer (Boeing, OEM) for incorporation into the Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) under the guidance of a mentor

  • Coordinates deliverables with management and peers

  • Maintains consistent authoring practices in accordance with approved specifications

  • Adheres to deadlines

  • Builds trust with our customers and shows a commitment to transparency and excellence by meeting and exceeding their expectations

  • Works with a diverse group of people and demonstrating you will listen, seek feedback, and respond appropriately, urgently, and respectfully

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working in fast paced environment with strict deadlines

  • Experience working both independently and in team environments

  • Experience understanding detailed engineering requirements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Associate degree in a technical field

  • 1+ years of experience with related work

  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, time management, and organization skills

  • Customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 2 years' related work experience).

Summary pay range: $40,800 - $55,200
