Job Description
The Miami office has an immediate opening for a 2nd-5th year income tax associate to join our nationally recognized and growing multidisciplinary Private Wealth Practice group, which focuses on, among other things, servicing the income tax, estate and gift tax, and business planning needs of high-net-worth individuals, families, and family offices.
The successful candidate will have broad exposure and proficiency in complex income tax planning, including planning with respect to partnership taxation and general closely held or family business transactional tax related matters. Foreign inbound, IRS controversy and domestic and foreign trust related experience also a plus. The candidate must be flexible to work in other tax and non-tax areas within the private wealth practice and show a desire to become a regular writer and speaker on various private wealth matters relevant to the practice’s diverse client base. Strong academic background required with a tax background. Exceptional research and writing skills, team oriented and committed work ethic. Must be admitted and in good standing as a member of the Florida State Bar and also preferable the NY State Bar. Current or prior employment with an Am Law 100 firm is a plus.
