Association Executive
DEPARTMENT: Corporate, Chief Staff Executive REPORTS TO: Board of Directors
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt, Full-time DIRECT REPORTS: Office Staff
ROLE: The Association Executive serves as chief executive officer of the association. Association Executive recommends and participates in the formulation of policies and makes decisions within existing policies as they have been approved by the Board of Directors. Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the staff, program and activities of the association to assure that objectives are attained, plans fulfilled and member needs met. Maintains effective internal and external relationships. Achieves economical, productive performance, forward- looking programming, and constructive growth of the association.
Within the limits of the bylaws and policies, the Association Executive is responsible for and has commensurate authority to accomplish the duties set forth below:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Plans, organizes and directs membership promotion and retention programs throughout the entire State of Idaho. Collect dues and terminates delinquent members.
2. Plans, coordinates, and conducts public relations programs and education programs.
3. Responsible for the planning, promotion and administration of all official meetings of the organization.
4. Sees that the Board of Directors and Executive Committee are kept fully informed of associations conditions.
5. Plans, formulates and recommends for the approval of the Board of Directors policies and programs that will further the objectives of the association.
6. Executes all decisions of the Board of Directors except when other assignments are specifically made by the Board.
7. Provides the necessary support to committee chairpersons to enable committees to properly perform their functions, ensure that committee decisions and recommendations are submitted to the board of directors for approval.
8. Maintains official minutes of board of directors and other official meetings of the organization, provides security for all files, legal and historic documents, membership and mailing lists.
9. In cooperation with the Treasurer, develops, recommends and upon Board approval, operates within an annual budget.
10. Ensures that all funds, physical assets, and other association property are appropriately safeguarded and administered; operates within the approved budget.
11. Plans the general administration of the entire association operation; the Board President should be aware of the progress of all association projects.
12. Represents the association in any and all national or local government matters affecting the multi-family industry.
13. Executes contracts and commitments as authorized by the board of directors or within established policies.
14. Maintains effective relationships with other organizations.
15. Carries out other general responsibilities as may be delegated by the Board of Directors.
