Siena College has an immediate opening for the full-time, 12-month position of athletic communications assistant. Siena College is located in Loudonville, NY just two miles north of Albany, the state capital. The College is a member of the NCAA and supports 21 Division I athletic programs which compete in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Duties include serving as the primary media contact for assigned sports, the writing, designing and layout of department publications, managing and updating the department website SienaSaints.com, playing a leadership role with new and social media initiatives, recruiting, training, and scheduling the athletic communications department's student workforce, and assisting in the communications, media relations and community and promotional initiatives of the department along with other duties as assigned. Knowledge of and experience working with statistical software (StatCrew), Adobe Photoshop, website editing, and previous experience working in collegiate athletics is strongly preferred. The position requires strict adherence to deadlines, travel with select athletic teams, and a flexible work schedule.

Bachelor's degree required. One year of relevant experience is required. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and insurability at the time of appointment and must maintain such license and insurability throughout the tenure of employment.
