Audiology Assistant - Himg (full Time) - 7331 Job at Cabell Huntington Hospital/St. Mary
St. Mary's Medical Center seeks a casual Audiology Assistant to workin ourHIMG Audiology department To be considered, candidates must have their active Medical Assistant certification.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Implements requested reports by tailoring extracts to meet the unique requirements of the customer.
- Submit, file, and track prior authorizations for all testing and hearing aids - requires mining appointment schedules 6 weeks in advance
- Performs daily biologic listening checks of equipment
- Order hearing aids and devices as directed by audiologists
- Check in new hearing aids when received
- Send out devices for repair per audiologist directions
- Check in repaired devices as they arrive daily
- Perform listening check
- Program device to last session in NOAH software
- Coordinate scheduling of pick up repair appointment with audiologist
- Manage audiometric data and patient information in NOAH database
- Minor in- office warranty repairs of hearing devices
- Complete chart prep prior to patient visits
- Prepare/Set-up for patient hearing device fittings
- Complete/finalize all hearing device fittings as outlined in training protocols
- Complete check-out procedure with patient, includes collecting payment that is required.
- Scan and file all paperwork for the department daily
- Stock rooms with supplies & paperwork weekly
- Clean supplies weekly (follow standard protocol for sterilization procedures)
- Other duties as assigned to support the office and organization.
To be considered, candidates must have their active Medical Assistant certification as well as BLS through the American Heart Association.
