Automotive / heavy equipment electronics diagnostic technician needed in Ft Myers, FL to diagnose and repair company equipment. Private company with good benefits and all tools provided.
The following experience and knowledge is preferred:
- Knowledge of Powertrain Controls for Diesel Engines and Transmission.
- Expertise in Vehicle CAN Networking and CAN networking tools like CANOE/CAN analyzer. Understanding and creation of CAN bus DBC files.
- Power and Signal interface management experience for engine and transmission controllers.
- Expertise with computing, data distribution/networking components and systems, and protocols, including SAEJ1939/CAN Bus, and Ethernet.
- Experience using lab test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, network analyzers, CAN bus analyzers, data acquisition) for test and verification.
- 3+ years of experience with automotive controller integration
- 3+ years of hands-on experience diagnosing automotive, or robotics or mechanical products vehicles (disassembling and assembling parts)
- 3+ years of experience with ECU or ECM "electronic control units" or "Electronic control module" (example: CAN analyzer, Bus analyzer, Lin analyzer, ethernet, controllers)
- Really strong Linux experience-deploying/updating/installing software packages into Linux OS
- Extensive experience troubleshooting electrical systems
- Previously worked in the OEM industry, automotive industry, aerospace industry, avionic industry, mechatronics industry, robotics industry: Rivian, Waymo, Zoox, Tesla, Argo.ai, Momenta, Cruise, May Mobility, Nuro, Drive.ai, Honda R&D, etc., Argo.AI
