Service Advisor Wanted – Mevert Automotive & Tire Center

We are looking for a personable, professional and competent Service Advisor to help take care of our customers’ automotive repair needs. You’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, and you’ll make a huge difference when it comes to the overall customer experience. Your expertise and great communication skills will be put to good use in a role of this kind.

Your job will focus on:

• Greeting customers and determining their needs for repair and/or service of their vehicles.
• Serving as the liaison between customers and the auto mechanics who work on their vehicles.
• Consulting with mechanics regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive repairs.
• Advising customers of the best maintenance/repairs for their vehicle, and estimating costs for customers.
• Scheduling appointments for servicing vehicles.
• Monitoring the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and updating customers to advise them about service changes or car pick-up times.
• Sell or provide in-depth information about available parts and service options to customers.
• Ensuring accurate processing of customer payments.

The “superstar” we’re looking for will possess:

• Previous sales experience in the automotive repair field (highly beneficial).
• An understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry.
• Experience with industry-specific software.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational, decision making, and problem-solving skills.

But technical expertise is not the only thing....We are also wanting to find:

• Someone who takes their job seriously (i.e., shows up every day, ahead of time, comes ready to work, and demonstrates by their own example what a good work ethic is supposed to look like).
• Someone who is self-disciplined and self-directed to be able to stay on-task
• With that in mind, we need people like you – people who are conscientious, hard-working, dependable, resilient, tenacious and genuinely good to work with!

Before we forget, there are a few requirements for the job that must be met:

• All applicants must be able to maintain drug-free status to work for our team.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles and travel to customer locations.
