As a service technician you’ll be responsible for maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models. Here’s just a snapshot of what you’ll be doing on a day to day basis:

- Conducting thorough inspections to identify any potential issues or malfunctions in vehicles.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements based on scheduling and availability.
- Utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment to diagnose issues.
- Test driving vehicles to ensure repairs are successful and performance is optimized.
- Providing excellent customer service by effectively communicating diagnoses, repair options, and estimated completion times.
- Keeping meticulous records of all repairs and maintenance work performed.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends through continuous learning and training.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal automotive service technician training program is preferred.
- Relevant work experience as an automotive service technician is preferred.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic automotive systems is preferred.
- A solid understanding of automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to advisors and customers.
- You must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
