Aviation Maintenance Technician I - 1st Shift Job at Hawker Pacific Inc.
Hawker Pacific Aerospace, Sun Valley, CA is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician I to support its Disassembly department. Selected applicant will mechanically disassemble, clean, inspect, assemble, and test landing gears and/or attaching equipment. Assemble landing gear in accordance with all relevant manuals, federal, state, and local agency requirements, and customer requirements. Work from complex and detailed assembly blueprints, technical drawings, bills if materials and overhaul manuals. Work with a variety of electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and hand tools of various weights and sizes.
An Aviation Maintenance Technician may be assigned to one or more departments depending upon the company needs at the time.
Essential Duties:
This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned task. May be assigned some or all duties indicated below depending on job progression level.
Disassembles (LDG) and inspects parts for wear, warping, or other defects in accordance with the Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM).- Clean and identify parts, as necessary.
- Perform general and/or detailed inspection of parts and assemblies, as required.
- Correctly read and follow blueprints, component maintenance manuals, illustrated parts lists, and related technical materials.
- Assemble and service Landing Gear and/or attaching equipment IAW Component Maintenance Manuals, Blueprints, and other related Technical Publications.
- Work from complex blueprints, verbal, and written instructions with minimal supervision.
- Perform testing procedures on landing gear and/or attaching equipment in accordance with Component Maintenance Manuals.
- Perform LDG testing procedures must be able troubleshoot and analyze options as required.
- Assist in the training and development of other junior level personnel.
- Adjusts, aligns, and calibrates aircraft systems, using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.
- Perform duties with the use of Hydraulic Press Machines, hand, electric and pneumatic tools as required.
- Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, functional components, and parts, such as wings and fuselage, rigging, and hydraulic units.
- Measure parts for proper fit and clearance.
- Responsibility to work with LEAN Manufacturing principles.
- Performs other duties as required by business needs.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: One (1) year experience working on Landing Gears and/or MRO
This position may require use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), or both. U.S. Person preferred.
