Role Summary/Purpose:
This AVP, Analytics - Qurate & Zulily role aids in driving strategic insights and analytic thought leadership to influence marketing strategies and profitable growth for our Qurate portfolios (HSN, QVC and Zulily). The key responsibilities for this roll are leading initiatives for Zulily and delivering key contributions to HSN and QVC. They work closely with functional leaders to provide strategic analytics, campaign design and reporting, segmentation and clustering, and retail analyses. They also work closely with the client marketing team and the General Manager to promote sustainable growth of the portfolio, as well as deploying analytical insights and strategies around acquisition, early months on book, lifecycle, cross-sell, and retention-based strategies.
This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Essential Responsibilities:
Identify actionable profit-based marketing and product opportunities through customer analysis and data driven insights
Partner with Marketing, Finance, Credit, and Sales to develop integrated solutions to grow credit penetration, incremental sales, and net income for multiple retail portfolios
Provide strategic thought leadership and influence SYF business leaders and client teams to implement marketing and product strategies based upon customer, financial, and data driven insights
Develop business case presentations and action plans to drive marketing strategy; including targeting recommendations, test design, channel optimization, product opportunities, and cost/benefit analysis to review with client and SYF marketing teams
Establish test and control strategies to measure bottom-line impact of targeting and segmentation by leveraging profitability and advanced analytical tools and statistical models
Produce campaign analytics to track results of strategies deployed. Create "test and learn" culture through ongoing assessment of product and targeting strategies
Lead and prioritize workload of US based and offshore analysts to ensure high-quality execution and delivery of marketing analytics and MIS reporting
Act as a strategy and analytic consultant for large-scale initiatives, providing guidance and leadership for the design, analysis, and measurement phases of the project
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, OR in lieu of degree, high school diploma and 9+ years of work experience in a marketing or customer analytics role in retail, financial services, credit card and/or payments industry
5+ years of progressive experience analytics role, preferably in a marketing function at multi-product/multi-channel financial services or retail organization
3+ years’ experience with statistical analysis and database tools such as SAS, R, SPSS, SQL, data visualization required
Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time
Desired Characteristics:
Advanced degree in statistics, decision sciences, engineering, or other quantitative field
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong leadership, analytic and problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Strong understanding of targeting and segmentation, retail analytic tools and advanced skills using Excel and PowerPoint
Client relationship experience
Ability to provide wing-to-wing analytic support including pulling data, preparing analysis, interpreting data, making strategic recommendations and presenting to client teams
Ability to innovate and find creative solutions to meeting business goals
Ability to partner and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Core understanding of compliance and regulatory issues related to marketing in credit environment
Experience using external data sources to drive growth for clients
Ability to influence senior corporate decision makers
Proven ability to work independently yet as key member and contributor to a broader team

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).

The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
