This officer position has overall responsibility for the design and leadership of the HR Shared Services organization, as well as leading the progression of the function and the broadening of the scope of services provided. HR Shared Services (HRSS) is responsible for the operational delivery across a broad range of employee life-cycle experiences, such as talent acquisition, onboarding, talent movement, and offboarding.

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end transformation from our current HR Shared Service approach to the future multi-tiered delivery model, focusing on building a culture of continuous improvement to ensure efficient and consistent employee experience and delivering operational excellence and simplification across our shared services.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead two teams responsible for ensuring efficient and consistent employee experiences with HR and delivering operational excellence and simplification across our HR organization.
  • Define strategic and operational direction of HR Shared Services, including defining the operational model, process design and improvement, systems of work and technology, team leadership and talent management, budgets, and vendor selection.
  • Leverage effective recruiting, training, coaching, development, team building, and succession planning to build an engaged, diverse, high-performing team.
  • Supply oversight and structure to ensure effective delivery of HRSS solutions/projects/programs, including portfolio management, influencing, and managing initiative prioritization.
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify and execute HRSS process improvement and enhancement opportunities.
  • Define and take accountability for the day-to-day performance metrics of the HRSS, ensuring clear SLAs and KPII’s align to an effective and positive employee experience.
  • Create and share reports/metrics/dashboards that are meaningful to stakeholders (including the HR Leadership team), identify areas for process improvement and measure functional performance.
  • Evaluate, develop, implement and modify processes with governance across all internal stakeholders (Business Leaders, Finance, Audit and Legal, etc.)
  • Consistently review and improve HR Shared Services strategies through emerging technologies, innovative solutions, feedback from the business, and overall employee experience.
  • Provides expertise in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) by contributing to the day-to-day management of employee data and providing recommendations on data administration.
  • Ensure continuity and successful delivery of employee life cycle services to users throughout the organization in compliance with labor laws and audit principles.

  • Typically VP or above
Skills Knowledge and Abilities
  • Experienced leader with hands-on experience in Human Resources, HR Operations, and Shared Services and prior experience leading the implementation and day-to-day management of a shared services team.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and facilitation skills with the ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships with customers, peers, subordinates and senior leadership.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with different levels of the organization to negotiate, problem solve, complete projects and influence decision making.
  • Ability to inspire confidence from leadership and team members while driving alignment and accountability in a matrix environment.
  • Experience in end-to-end process design that enhances the employee experience.
  • Confident use of data, insights, and voice of the customer framework to identify trends and improvement opportunity areas for operational quality and efficiency.
  • Proven experience in managing complex HR processes, being able to problem solve and think of scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written) with an ability to listen & respond to customer queries.
  • Multi-tasking experience in a fast-paced environment, completing work tasks quickly and accurately in a detailed work environment.
Education and Experience
  • Master’s degree preferred or bachelors with equivalent experience, professional certifications preferred.
  • Typically a minimum of ten years of related work experience with demonstrated proficiency in required HR skills and abilities.
