We are a growing small business located in Rocklin California, our music school also welcomes students from Roseville, Loomis, Lincoln, and the surrounding areas.

We have a diversified team of music teachers who have decades of combined experience in playing and teaching music. We are passionate about music — and we help students tap into the creativity and fun of playing, too!

Position Purpose

The role of the Assistant Director is to support the School Director in the daily operations of the school and is responsible for school oversight in the absence of the Director. This position has the primary task of generating leads through events and completing daily follow-ups with the goal to grow the student count and building new programs in our music school. In addition to sales, you will help to carry out administrative functions in the areas of billing, scheduling, generating reports, and managing daily activities at the school.

Assistant Director Duties

  • Ownership of the sales process; hit/exceed quarterly sales targets.

  • Participate in B2R community events outside the Bach to Rock facilities.

  • Shares responsibility with the school director for the operation and maintenance of the school’s retail activities, especially sales, lead generation, and customer service.

  • Promote guidance and information to parents and to students; communicating and consulting with other members of the school staff and with parents to ensure the best interest of the students

  • Partners with the School Director and other staff in monitoring the student and instructors scheduled to assure the timely delivery of instructional programs

  • Responsible for oversight and management of front desk duties and reception area- Multitasking is necessary

  • Administers daily renewals, billing, enrollments, and schedule changes

  • Responsible for the timely opening and closing of the site

  • Supports and backs up the director in administering the site’s billing, collection, inventory control maintaining product levels appropriately

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Education and Work Experience and/or Licensure

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED

  • Sales experience preferred or the desired and motivation to meet our quarterly goals.

  • Record-keeping and time-tracking experience a plus

  • Business management and administrative experience is preferred

  • Some supervisory experience is preferred

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and move the equipment typically associated with B2R’s day-to-day operation and events, e.g., amplifiers, keyboards, recording equipment, light furniture, etc.
