CoreDB is a commercial open-source (COSS) company based on the popular database, Postgres. CoreDB aims to dramatically improve the developer experience of deploying, managing, and scaling Postgres. We are building a modern, rich Postgres platform with great dev experience, observability, and extendability
We’re all-in on Postgres and we're looking for talented and opinionated engineers to join our small, early-stage team.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to projects like the CoreDB control plane, data plane/operator, pgUI backend and pgmq
- Build out CI/CD for CoreDB projects
- Integrate backend systems with identity providers (e.g. Okta / OAuth)
- Build features into our Kubernetes operator in Rust, building our ever-expanding capabilities for managing Postgres
- Work on a wide variety of backend and infrastructure engineering challenges
About you
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage your time effectively, asking for clarity when you need it and creating your own clarity when necessary
- Significant experience with one or more of the following: Go, Ruby, Python
- Intermediate experience with Docker and container-based application development (Kubernetes experience is a huge plus)
- Experience with Rust (or a strong desire to learn)
- Familiarity or exposure to Postgres is a plus (but not a requirement)
Role Details
- Terms: This is a full-time, permanent role
- Compensation & Benefits: Annual salary of $125,000 to $175,000, equity in the company, unlimited PTO, and insurance (medical, dental, and vision are 100% covered for employees)
- Location: Remote (we meet in-person quarterly)
