Bartender, Full & Part-time

The Railhouse Bar & Grill - Silvis, IL. & Riley's Roadhouse - Cordova, IL., are looking for Bartenders, both full & part-time. The ideal canidate will excel in service excellence and customer service, contributing to our overall business success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Incorporate Service Excellence thinking in all that you do to create a lasting and positive experience for our customers.
• Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude, create an atmosphere of friendliness and fun, through flexibility and teamwork, regardless of any personal biases.
• Report to work on-time and project a professional personal image.
• Adhere to all state and local regulation regarding the serving of alcohol.
• To serve draft beer, bottled beer, wine, liquor and prepare drinks, in accordance with mixology standard and bar specific recipes.
• To anticipate the Guests needs and wants; provide continuous follow-up.
• To take accurate orders and insure quality before serving.
• To inform Management of maintenance problems and guest issues, as soon as identified.
• Perform correct money transactions and make correct change utilizing Point-of-Sale system.
• Maintain a neat, clean and organized bar area, meeting all state regulations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and balance fluctuating workload
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Attention to detail and ability to take initiative
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule
• Knowledge of food & beverage service and safety standards

Requirements:

• Bartending experience preferred, but will train the right candidate
• Basset Training /Safe food handling; preferred
• Must be over 21 to serve alcohol

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $8.00 per hour

Experience:

• Bartending: 1 year (Preferred)

Job Duties:

• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with clientele
• Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring that all funds in the cash drawer are accounted for by the end of the shift
• Keep an eye on patron intoxication levels and respond appropriately
• Identify belligerent customers, and work with management when needed to maintain a safe environment
• Clean the bar and the surrounding area of spills and other messes as needed
• Other duties as requested
