The Behavior Health Program Coordinator works in conjunction with the Director of Mental Health and Nurse Manager to access the number and skill level of staff needed to provide an effective clinical program for mental health patients. This role is responsible for the administrative functions for the programs under Mental Health Services. The Behavior Health Program Coordinator coordinates the implementation of the inpatient and outpatient programs. Organizes and manages program related-internal and external communication with providers, family and community stakeholders where appropriate. This position will also perform community outreach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Nursing, or related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an acute care psychiatric setting.
• One (1) year of supervisory experience.

Responsibility Highlights

• Coordinates the daily clinical activities and program initiatives, supervises Employees, and ensures that quality care is provided to patients.
• Coordinates the clinical activities of the treatment team and daily operations of the program including staff assignments and patient schedules.
• Develops, supervises, and evaluates the clinical program, in collaboration with the Outpatient Behavioral Health Services Director, taking into consideration the populations served and regulatory agency requirements.
• Fulfills all the duties of the Primary Therapist role to provide seamless coverage for patient care to meet the needs of the department.
• Supports or fulfills the duties of the various roles, within appropriate scope and credentials, to provide seamless coverage for patient care to meet the needs of the department.
