May Institute is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of children with behavioral health diagnoses, autism or other developmental disabilities, and their families. As part of a team, you will work with caregivers on behavior reduction You will be trained in state-of-the-art instruction based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and receive supervision and support from an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or other Master’s or Doctorate level professional.

This is an exciting opportunity to:
  • Implement individually designed behavior and skills training programs for children with autism, developmental disabilities, or other behavioral health diagnoses.
  • Learn how to record and analyze data to track the progress and effectiveness of teaching programs
  • Use innovative software to effectively map the growth and progress of children
  • Learn teaching techniques based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Assist with and learn to conduct assessments
  • Receive supervision from experienced BCBAs or other master’s or doctorate level professionals.
  • Be an integral part of a clinical team
  • Work in a growing field with opportunities for advancement
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has an associate degree with 2 years relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 1 year relevant experience. Associates or bachelor’s degree must be in certain human services fields to meet funder requirements (e.g., education, psychology, social work, counseling)
  • Enjoys working with children and caregivers in home and community settings.
  • Demonstrates compassion, empathy, and patience for children and families
  • Is comfortable working with children who may display behavior problems
  • Has interest in ABA, psychology, or special education and is looking to gain experience or pursue a graduate degree/ career in this field
  • Has experience with or interest in working with children who have developmental disabilities or behavioral health diagnoses
  • Is driven to understand each family’s unique needs and find effective means to help them reach their identified goals
  • Has a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
