This position includes a $5,000 hiring bonus and relocation reimbursement up to $2000.
- Clinician I Unlicensed $60,000-$65,000
- Clinician II LMSW, LPC, LMFT $65,000-$75,000
- Clinician III LCSW $75,000-$85,000
- An additional stipend is provided for on-call weeks. Rate is $75 per day and $100 on holidays. Typically this will amount to an additional $10,000-$15,000 annually.

SeaView is looking for a full-time Clinician to join our Mobile Crisis Response Team. The Clinician works with a team of professionals — including first responders, healthcare providers, and community-based agencies — to stabilize a psychiatric crisis, avoid hospitalization and/or incarceration, and initiate immediate community-based treatment. The Clinician performs evaluations in homes, the emergency department, community and mobile-based milieus. The Clinician applies differential diagnostic skills, provides telephone triage, mental status assessments, collateral contacts with family supports, extended evaluations, resource screenings, referrals for psychiatric consults, and assessments for appropriate disposition.
Qualified candidates will be able to:
- Provides emergency crisis evaluations and all related service delivery requirements for youth and adults in multiple settings, including emergency department, our clinic, community-based settings in the region and/or on-site.
- Provides assessment, treatment interventions and short-term crisis counseling and case management.
- Manages clients presenting in behavioral health crisis; assess, triage and refer patients to the appropriate services.
- Develops and maintain collaborative working relationships with hospital-based staff and other providers in order to effectively serve all clients in crisis.
- Maintains current working knowledge and use of all related, internal and external resources, policies, procedures, regulatory and compliance requirements necessary to effectively serve clients with quality care in multiple settings and with ever changing program needs.
- Answers telephone as needed and provides timely, appropriate assessment and determines next steps in support for clients with behavioral health needs.
- Provide crisis services for primary and secondary victims of domestic violence and sexual assault including crisis intervention, lethality assessment, individual safety plans, coordinating transportation and shelter, and advocacy with the courts and law enforcement.
- Availability for night, weekend, and non-traditional hours required. This position shares on-call coverage for SeaView's 24/7 crisis line with another clinician, alternating weeks. Scheduled weeks will fluctuate at times based on the needs of staff and clients.
- SeaView is the premier provider of Behavioral Health services for the Eastern Kenai Peninsula, serving as the Community Behavioral Health Center and offering key residential and outpatient programs in both Mental Health and Substance Use. SeaView works diligently every day to expand access and utilization of behavioral health services with the goal of improving the mental health status of our community and decreasing substance misuse. Location: Seward, AK
Requirements: Master’s level clinical licensure or ability for immediate licensure in Alaska (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT) preferred. Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field required. Knowledge or specialized training in addressing trauma is preferred. Reliable, hard-working and have a sincere passion for the work we do. Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, pre-employment drug screening, background check and TB test.
SeaView offers a competitive salary/benefit structure with opportunities to gain hands-on experience across several different areas working with passionate team members in support of the mission. Benefits include employee medical/dental, retirement, and 3.6 weeks of vacation in your first year with incremental increases up to 7.2 weeks a year. SeaView also provides both individual and group clinical licensure supervision for our behavioral health providers who are working towards their post-master's clinical licenses. The most common licenses for therapists in Alaska are Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Both require 100 hours of clinical supervision. Market rates for licensure clinical supervision are $150-$200 and hour. At 100 hours, that is a $15,000 to $20,000 value – and our staff receive it as a free benefit.
