From a cheerful greeting as guests arrive at the hotel to a sincere thank you at departure, the ideal John Rutledge House bell staff helps to create a seamless five-star experience for guests throughout their stay. Bell staff duties include some hotel upkeep in addition to guest service.
Responsibilities:
- Greet each guest as they arrive at the hotel
- Carry guests' luggage and deliver to guestrooms
- Acquaint guests with the property and room amenities
- Host the evening social hour
- Converse with guests about local restaurants and attractions when asked
- Assist with hotel upkeep including maintaining cleanliness of hotel kitchen and parking lot and distributing laundry.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Must have a congenial personality and be dedicated to providing outstanding guest service
- Able to bend, stoop and climb multiple flights of stairs
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must have flexible scheduling availability and must be available to work weekends and occasional holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license required
- Previous hotel experience preferred
