Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to pass a test welding in the 6G position
• Ability to lift at least 45 pounds
• Ability to work in a dusty environment

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and preparing surfaces to be welded
• Performing welding processes on aluminum, steel, and other metal parts using welding metals and metal alloys
• Working from sketches, prints, operation sheets, preliminary drawings, and written/verbal instructions
• Welding parts according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Using hand welding and flame cutting equipment such as arc welders, gas welders, and gas torches to weld metal components together (flat, horizontal, or vertical plates and pipes)
• Performing welding in multiple positions.
• Performing welding to Nondestructive Testing Quality (MT, UT)
• Building up worn and/or defected surfaces
• Performing addition duties as assigned at manager’s discretion

Welding test will determine position and pay scale.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
• Ability to communicate and read instructions in English (Bilingualism a plus)
