SUMMARY
Administer childcare subsidy program on behalf of the customer. Work with program participants and childcare providers in the delivery and communications of subsidy benefit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:
- Provides program participants and childcare providers with overview of subsidy program.
- Assists participants and childcare providers with application package completion.
- Verifies application documentation and provides determination on employee eligibility in accordance with program requirements.
- Reviews and processes invoices in accordance with program requirements.
- Answers employee and provider verbal and written inquiries.
- Maintains appropriate records and program documents.
- Reviews eligibility changes in both the employees and childcare providers to maintain compliance in accordance with program requirements.
- Coordinates and prepares documentation for program audits as required.
- Provides excellent customer service related to childcare subsidy programs and troubleshoots with the appropriate parties as necessary.
- Assist with the coordination of open enrollment efforts.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEAssociate degree and 4 years of professional experience in administering benefit/subsidy programs or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with eligibility determinations and serving in an employee-facing role is strongly preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to program participants and childcare providers.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of personally identifiable information.
- Knowledge of principles and procedures regarding benefit administration or subsidy programs.
- Ability to understand and follow policy guidelines.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service and personal services.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish; proficient in writing, listening and reading both languages, preferred.
- Ability to pass a Tier 1/Low Risk personnel security investigation
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting.
Cherokee Federal has suspended it’s COVID mandate. However it’s important to note that Cherokee Federal employees are included as covered employees in U.S. Presidential Executive Order 14042, which mandates Covid vaccines for federal contractors. Executive Order 14042 is currently not subject to enforcement by the Federal government. Therefore, Cherokee Federal has suspended application of the mandate and continues to monitor the government’s guidance on administration of any vaccine requirement.
