An Addison Group client is looking for a Benefits Manager to join their team in Center City!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage one direct report: Benefits Specialist
  • Deisgn, coordinate and roll-out benefit plan changes and open enrollment. Update summary plan descriptions, plan documents, EAP program and policies as necessitated by law and ease of administration
  • Partner with broker for annual open enrollment renewals and strategic planning for health and welfare programs including: open enrollment timeline, coordination of the vetting process, in-depth review of new health and welfare plan contracts, plan design modifications and the development of a communication program for employee benefits via social media and other appropriate platforms
  • Oversee vendor relationships to meet service expectations and compliance with policies, contracts, regulatory requirements and cost control objectives
  • Advise health and welfare programs to leadership by studying trends and developments of federal, state and local law requirements, new legislation and other non-profit organizations
  • Support leadership by analyzing benefit options and predicting future costs
  • Responsible for the research and configuration of ADP’s benefit “carrier connections” to minimize manual tasks
  • Oversee benefits orientation of new employees, and provide oversight of health and welfare plan eligibility
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
  • Partner with broker for timely submission of 5500 filing and employee communications of SPDs, Annual Disclosures, etc.
  • Manage HRIS system data related to plan eligibility and implement benefit/carrier corrections in the system
  • Point person for escalated claims resolution/intercede with vendors/carriers as necessary
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly invoice reconciliation
  • Responsible for Workers’ Compensation
  • Responsible for OSHA logs and required yearly posting
  • Knowledge of benefits administration, short/long term disability, leave administration (FMLA/ADA, etc.) and to serve as the back-up in the absence of the Benefits Specialist or if the unit experiences an influx of cases

Requirements
  • Responsible for compliance of health and welfare programs that are aligned with federal, state and local regulations
  • Provides technical guidance and advice on ERISA regulations
  • Stay abreast of occupational legislation and requirements to ensure organizations workplace compliance
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving required
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Solid computer skills, proficient in MS Office and familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and leveraging social media platforms
  • Must possess a team-oriented mindset
  • Must be willing to ensure the department runs smoothly and taking the action to see that through
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a similar field of study
  • License/Certification: CEBS preferred, but not required
  • Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience, preferably in insurance, benefits administration, finance and/or human resources
