As an HR Generalist, a typical day might include the following:


  • Utilizing technology and demonstrating strong HRIS skills to complete HR transactions and oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date personnel files on all employees
  • Issuing, tracking and uploading employee background checks
  • Responsible for the entire new hire onboarding process including issuing, assisting employees with its completion, reviewing checklists once completed, tracking and following up on missing forms and checklists, and adding to venue POS system once completed
  • Work with other members of the HR team to register new hires for orientation
  • Responsible for processing HR action requests including additional job code and rate change requests
  • Processing termination in HRIS system, terminating employees from venue POS system when needed
  • Providing required documentation in response to unemployment claims; Participate in unemployment hearings as needed. Ensure that paperwork is complete and documentation is thorough so the company’s position can be legally and effectively represented
  • Responsible for the auditing and cleanup of scheduling program HotSchedules on a quarterly basis
  • Regularly audit all hourly staff HRIS profiles to ensure correct title, venue, pay rate, and status
  • Responsible for reporting of multiple HR functions including pay cycle, unemployment, and no-pay lists; required to send these reports to required departments and follow up as needed
  • Responsible for issuing, auditing and uploading of back-of-house uniform forms
  • Other duties as assigned

  • At least 1 year of Human Resources experience in Hospitality industry required; equivalent experience in another industry may be considered
  • High School diploma required; Field-related university degree preferred
  • You are able to maintain confidentiality to the extent possible in all HR-related matters
  • Above average skill level on all Microsoft office products preferred
  • Experience with HRIS system UKG Ready is a plus
  • Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication
  • Organization and the ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks
  • Flexibility to help them adjust to new tasks should company or position needs change
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with all employees
  • Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly
  • Must have a passion for hospitality
  • Must have the ability to travel to Boston and Foxborough MA areas as necessary

  • This full-time position is located at Big Night Entertainment Group's Foxwoods Office. This role is a hybrid position expected to be present in-office at least two to three days per week

  • Workplace can have moderate to high stress levels
  • Non-typical office hours may be occasionally required including evenings
