POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking to add a Director of Recruitment who will join our team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate is proficient in Spanish, is great at networking and building relationships in the community, and can identify the best talent to join our team of Financial Advisors. This position involves performing functions that allow the recruiting team to efficiently attract, select and contract Financial Advisors. The Director of Recruitment will have an overall understanding of the recruitment and selection process. This position requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and develop effective referral sources within the agency, develop productive centers of influence (COIs), and develop qualified lead strategies from a variety of sources (i.e., referrals, COIs, advertising, career fairs, social media, etc.)
- Actively participate in community organizations to promote and brand Northwestern Mutual
- Coordinate advertising and marketing strategies to promote Northwestern Mutual’ s recruitment and brand awareness efforts in the community
- Specific selection process accountability to include but not limited to screening candidates, conducting initial interviews, administering selection tools, and guiding candidates through the selection process
- Review resumes, schedule and conduct initial interviews
- Effectively communicate with candidates and oversee the entire selection process from start to finish
- Report weekly recruiting activity to leadership team
- Develop proficiency and use of home office-supported software to maintain candidate databases and accurate records of prospects to ensure efficiency of the selection process
- Oversight of contract and licensing responsibilities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency in Spanish
- Strong personal network and/or community involvement to leverage from a recruiting perspective
- Strong relationship building and communication skills
- 1+ years professional work experience, preferably in sales, marketing and/or recruiting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated ability to work professionally as a team member and with all levels of people
- Experience with prospecting; generating leads via phone or face-to-face interactions preferred
- Involvement in the Greater Tampa Bay community and familiarity with local organizations, including organizations in the Hispanic community
