Billing Specialist Job at Suncoast Community Health Centers Inc.
POSITION TITLE: BILLING SPECIALIST-
FLSA: NON-EXEMPT
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Computer knowledgeable.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable.
- Experience in dealing with the public. Good communication skills.
- Experience in existing billing and reimbursement procedures for Medicaid/Medicare and private insurance.
- Billing and coding experience.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Process claims through data entry
- Processes Medicare, Medicaid, HCHCP, and Third-Party claims.
- Follow up and edit claims: i.e.: denials, resubmittals
- Posting of Insurance Remittance Vouchers
- Assist and consults with patients regarding their claims
- Reviews aging of claims past ninety days
- Other duties as assigned.
