SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Bingo Clerk is responsible for creating an environment of fun and excitement on the floor where all guests feel comfortable, welcome, and special.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Handle all cash and check transactions with players purchasing games.

• Balance cash drawer at the end of the evening.

• Effectively interacts with customers to create an overall positive customer experience; responding to customer issues and making every effort to achieve customer satisfaction.

• Exercises appropriate discretion in identifying situations that require management attention.

• Maintain positive relationships with all other staff and volunteers.

• Basic math skills required.

• Other duties and projects as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience is required.

• Demonstrated ability to get along with co-workers and work as a team across departments and levels of management.

• Must be flexible and able to work all shifts as needed.

• Present a well-groomed appearance and be energetic and outgoing.

• Possess a thorough working knowledge of the various games and equipment in Bingo.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Strong communication, math, and facilitation skills.

• Flexible, motivated, and resourceful.

• Effective problem-solving/analytical skills.

• Able to work independently while handling multiple projects.

• Able to deal with employees at all levels and maintain good employee relations.

• Able to handle stressful situations calmly and swiftly.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to regularly lift products and supplies, up to 40 pounds. At times, this position will require working in areas containing secondary smoke, high-noise levels, bright lights, and dust.

This position does require the ability to perform under stressful conditions and high-volume demands.
