We have all done it, drove through Blue Earth and smelled the delicious scent of a very familiar cereal in the air, or snacks..am I right? Spherion is partnering with THAT food manufacturer in Blue Earth, MN to fill general labor and extrusion roles; these positions offer FT hours and long-term opportunity.
The General Laborer position has two main job components: 1) basic line tasks on our cereal/ingredient packaging lines, and 2) cleaning tasks. All GL’s rotate assignments throughout each workday.
2nd Shift: 2:30PM11:00PM - $17.25 | 3rd Shift: 10:30PM-7:00AM - $17.25
Job Duties:
- Perform varied line duties such as checking code dates, aligning bags on conveyors, refilling cardboard stock, moving product and materials with a pallet jack, filling and weighing bulk product containers, assembling boxes, etc.
- Palletize, shrink wrap, and record and certify quantities.
- Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping and sanitizing. During changeovers, GL’s may work entire shifts of cleaning duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Must be able to tolerate the above-listed physical and environmental demands of this position with or without accommodations.
Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.
