In this role, the Brand Manager will have ownership of the Sabra Guacamole and emerging Growth platforms and P&Ls, including leading brand strategy, delivering the business plan, and identifying opportunities for renovation and innovation growth opportunities. Brand Manager will identify consumer trends, seek opportunities to meet consumer needs, articulate a vision and collaborate with a diverse cross-functional team for successful outcomes. Flawless execution, including meeting financial and sales goals, achieving packaging renovation deadlines and adjusting the monthly forecast are critical. This Brand Manager will drive new product platform launches beyond Hummus and Guac for Sabra and identify new-to-Sabra business opportunities.
This job is hybrid, located in the NY Metro area.
Dip Into This Role
- Overall, act as the general manager of Sabra Guacamole.
- Lead the Sabra Guacamole vision and strategy, aligning to the brand purpose and strategic plan.
- Deliver the annual business plan and financial targets, using creative problem solving to make adjustments as needed throughout the year.
- Own the Guac P&L, delivering the annual targets and identifying ways to improve the financial profile.
- Lead our co-manufacturing relationship
- Bring our strategy to life through meaningful sell story for sales to drive profitable growth for Sabra Guacamole.
- Champion Guacamole within the total Sabra trademark communication plan.
- Own Guacamole growth strategies for a 3-year horizon, including innovation, partnerships and channel opportunities.
- Drive Shopper Marketing programs (e.g. Bring Partnerships to life in-store, Strategy & Execution)
- Translate data into relevant recommendations through compelling storytelling
- Proactively scan the marketplace and industry for areas of competitive improvement including packaging and pricing recommendations based on consumer needs.
- Develop strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Operations, Sales, Research & Development) to ensure alignment of direction of all aspects of the business.
- Analyze and develop key takeaways from IRI reporting monthly
As the beyond Hummus and Guac Growth Platform Innovator:
- Collaborate with the Associate Director of Growth Platforms to help identify, develop and launch new-to-Sabra innovations based on unmet consumer needs and designed to extend the Sabra trademark.
- Contribute to new platform innovation strategy based on market trends, consumer insights and competitive situations.
- Lead sub-teams to bring new products to market, from testing innovative products reflective of consumer food trends through placement on customer shelf, including consumer engagement.
- Use information, logic, and sound business judgment to develop innovation recommendations.
Recipe for Success
- Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Marketing. CPG experience preferred.
- A strong drive for results, ready to take on the role of business manager
- A passion for marketing, especially new product development
- Excellent strategic thinking, planning, analytic, and communication skills required; Strong PowerPoint, Excel and presentation skills
- Ability present to customer teams with confident leadership
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence both internally and externally
- Decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas
- Models resiliency in a dynamic, fast paced work environment that requires flexibility to manage multiple simultaneous projects
- Travel required 10%
The base compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 commensurate with experience.
