BSA & Fraud Analyst Job at Commercial Bank & Trust Company
Role and Responsibilities:
- Reviews and analyzes money laundering alerts for suspicious activity.
- Reviews and analyzes account fraud alerts for fraudulent or suspicious activity.
- Reviews Customer Due Diligence alerts for potential high-risk customers.
- Completes and files Currency Transaction Reports.
- Monitors and records Monetary Instrument Logs.
- Assists in identifying high risk accounts and reviewing quarterly.
- Reviews exceptions related to the Customer Identification Program and Beneficial Ownership to ensure compliance with the program.
- Reports counterfeit currency to the United States Secret Service.
- Conducts and tracks the review of 314(a) searches.
- Processes garnishments, levies and subpoenas, seeking legal counsel if needed.
- Processes forged endorsement, forgery, altered check, and unauthorized remotely created check claims and serves as support for frontline.
- Creates cases in Verafin for any fraud to document activity, responses, and losses/recoveries.
- Reviews official checks outstanding monthly for suspicious activity.
- Reviews OFAC alerts for any potential hits.
- Conducts annual review of Money Service Businesses & Privately Owned ATMs.
- Conducts annual review of CTR exemptions.
- Review reports of monetary instruments issued and monitors for any suspicious activity.
- Assists with preparation of information for BSA examinations.
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of the bank’s Bank Secrecy Act policy.
- Conducts and/or assists with required bank-wide annual Bank Secrecy Act training.
- Process garnishments, levies and subpoenas, seeking legal counsel if needed.
- Completes training as needed.
- Has helpful attitude with co-workers and customers.
- Strives to improve the efficiency in his/her work area through cost savings.
- Performs other duties assigned by supervisor.
- Adheres to IT Program including IT Security Policy and completes required IT training.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Tact and public relations expertise
- Proficient with PC
- Knowledge of CBTC products and service
- Great customer service skills
- Ability to work well with others
