Budget Analyst Job at Green Mountain Power
Green Mountain Power is seeking a Budget Analyst to be the foundation of our budgeting processes. This is a great opportunity to become an expert in how an electric utility operates financially!
In this role, you will:
- Work with Department managers to develop annual O&M budgets.
- Work with Capital managers to help them develop financial support for upcoming projects
- Be the primary administrator of the company's industry standard software used in the budgeting process.
- Work with GMP's parent company to ensure that budget reporting requirements are met.
- Assist with the monthly financial closing and variance analysis.
- Assist with the monthly rolling forecasts.
- Support the periodic regulatory work that GMP requires.

- Strong technology aptitude to learn and leverage technology solutions for communication, analysis, and efficient workflows. Excel experience required. Aptitude to learn new applications required since this role involves operating GMP's utility financial software.
- Experience in financial accounting and 4 year accounting degree (regulated utility/public accounting experience a plus).
May work from our Rutland or Colchester offices.
