POSITION SUMMARY:
Adirondack Basement Systems (“ABS”), a regional leader in the foundation repair industry, is seeking a Business Developer/Account Manager to join our growing team. In the Account Manager role, you will follows up on sales proposals written by the sales representatives and service technicians for Adirondack Basement Systems with two purposes—quality assurance and closure of the sale. ABS’S purpose is to redefine the construction industry by providing our customers with a WOW! experience. We care deeply for and strive to build a long-term relationship with each customer.
As for the role of Business Developer for Junkluggers, Adirondack Basement Systems’ sister company, you will help create and execute a comprehensive business development plan to leverage existing relationships and new partnerships to increase revenue and visibility. Junkluggers is a caring alternative to traditional junk removal, committed to enhancing lives, the community, and the environment around us by donating & recycling unwanted items from both residential and commercial customers, all while supporting local charities.

- Knowledge of customer service and/or sales principles and practices.
- Comfortable calling on homeowners and businesses alike and asking for business.
- Comfortable making 25+ phone calls per day.
- Skill in operating a personal computer and programs.
- Ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License.
- Ability to perform accurate data entry.
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects, maintaining a stationary position most of the time.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Account Manager/Inside Sales
Unsold Proposal Follow-Up
- Follows up with homeowners by telephone and electronic communications for the purposes of ensuring quality and selling previously unsold proposals.
Project Retention
- Helps to save previously sold jobs when homeowners request to cancel an installation.
- Responds promptly to homeowner requests for follow-up and cancellations.
Inside Sales Revenue
- Meets or exceeds sales goals and other key performance indicators.
Tactical Support
- Keeps homeowner files updated, complete, and accurate.
- Support other departments as needed.
Business Development
- Help expand Junkluggers presence throughout the area by capturing new businesses, agencies and/or municipalities that could benefit from the services provided.
- Develop realistic sales and business goals while championing the company’s philanthropic principles.
- Attend networking events.
- Schedule learning opportunities with the community at large.
- Work with our team of Junkluggers to be brand ambassadors at each job site.
