Description: The Business Development Manager is responsible for creating and ensuring execution of the strategy for growing the business in the General Trading distribution market and identifies new business opportunities. Develop strong working relationships with key existing customers and develop potential new customers while working closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to achieve established goals.
Functions:
- Create strategy to identify new sales opportunities with prospective new and existing General Trading customers.
- Responsible for delivering on new customer goals.
- Present to and consult with sales team on business trends with a view on developing new products, services and distribution channels
- Work with purchasing to assist with brand rationalization
- Performs other job duties as required
- Execute sales strategy while working with the Director of Sales and Marketing and be responsible for delivering on the Business Development goals
- Deep understanding of the GT products and services, including the GT and ISE applications, and be able to demonstrate/present to prospective customers
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
- 4 – 10 years food industry experience required
- Proficient on Microsoft office
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Data analysis and forecasting skills
- Ability to travel to accounts
