The Process Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing distributor strategy to accelerate growth in process markets specifically with PlantPAx solutions. The Process Business Development Manager is accountable for building distributor process offering and defining any key gaps to deliver a process solution.
Sales Leadership Competencies:
1. Annual growth planning and execution including targets, competency, and future investments
2. Lead overall business focus and performance around overall Process business
3. Manages complexity, regularly overcome objections, and adaptable to change
4. Manages business with discipline
5. Balance stakeholder commitments
6. Recognition of what is best for customer and business needs
7. Inspire, influence, lead and communicate across a diverse team not under direct management
8. Customer-centric business advocate
Technical Competencies:
1. Serve as domain expert around Services business and continuously build competency within your team and supporting teams
2. Ability to translate customer's industrial business drivers into automation solutions and articulate unique value of solution portfolio.
3. Lead the business development and understand the technical acumen of the process industry
Marketing Competencies:
1. Able to analyze market conditions, develop an annual business plan and coordinate its implementation.
2. Ability to understand market conditions, competitive forces, determine market share, and identify
opportunities for growth.
3. Ability to develop and implement strategies to attack competition and grow market penetration
4. Proven track record of ability to manage multiple partner relationships while achieving target outcomes
5. Commercially and technically articulate Rockwell Automation’s value proposition in the process and
solutions.
6. Administer and implement marketing programs and product launches for Rockwell Automation’s
process and solutions business.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- 4-year degree or equivalent professional experience in technical disciplines is required.
- 5+ years of sales experience in Industrial Automation or Process/DCS Sales leadership.
- Demonstrated in depth knowledge & understanding of Process Industry Standards & Terminology
Control systems and Computer Technology (Microsoft)
Plant PAx and/or competitive offerings
Process Application Knowledge
- Exposure to all levels and connectivity of the Purdue Model (Field Devices to
- ERP). Platforms including but not limited to : Instrumentation, PLC, DCS Controllers, HMI/SCADA,
- Server Architectures, Plant Historian, APC, Motor Control, Intelligent Power, and including
- Analytics, IIoT, and Cloud Automation.
- Ability to influence and guide team members when required.
- Proven self starter with a track record of market development and program execution experience
