DESCRIPTION:


The Business Development Manager will focus on advanced reactor supply chain development and commercial deployment of advanced reactors. They will research trends shaping reactor and energy markets both domestically and internationally and the identify the key drivers of value for customers. They will also present key findings to senior management and eventually lead strategic partnership negotiations with customers. They will support the integration of the MMR technology with industrial processing, develop techno-economic analysis for the integration of MMR technology with industrial processes for the decarbonization of the industry, and develop feasibility studies, coordinating with engineering for the development and pricing of customized technology.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and recommend go-to-market strategies for USNC's advanced reactor designs.
  • Manage contractual negotiations and long-term business relationships with strategic suppliers.
  • Work with potential customers in their evaluation of USNC's advanced reactor.
  • Create new, and inform existing, financial models to drive business planning.
  • Analyze and build alignment around key risks, associated mitigation strategies, contingency planning.
  • Research, support, analysis of strategic planning efforts.
  • Recommend commercial structures for new partners and clients.
  • Strategic transaction analytics and structuring.
  • Communicate and conduct work in accordance with the Guiding Principles for work across functions within USNC.
  • Work cooperatively with the Business & Commercial division and other internal stakeholders on strategic negotiations in support of reactor commercialization.
  • Prepare and and present reports in a timely fashion.
  • Timely preparation of reports and presentations, particularly timely submittal of proposals and reports to customers.
  • Coordination of activities with the BD US group and with the Director of Stakeholder engagement.
  • Represent the company at meetings and conferences.
  • Lead junior staff in the development of proposals and offers to customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in one of the following fields: science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
  • Masters / MBA preferred.
  • Good team player and detail oriented.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Preferred experience in proposal writing and large project management (>$10m projects)
  • Preferred background in nuclear energy within energy ecosystem
  • Strong analytical and project management skills

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS: Frequent travel (>50%)

SALARY RANGE: 120k-150k

COMPENSATION: This position is eligible to participate in our performance bonus plan.
