Business Development Representative
Job Summary:
BEST Crowd Management is seeking a Business Development Representative to grow our Convention and Auxiliary event business through prospecting, cold calling, proposals and presentations. This position will be based at our corporate headquarters in Coon Rapids, MN.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze upcoming events in our markets to determine new business prospects
- Establish contact with new business via cold calling and prospecting
- Create proposals for customers by responding to RFP’s
- Maintain positive growth year over year in new and reoccurring business
- Get in front of potential problems in order to minimize potential loss
- Work with internal account managers in local markets throughout the country before, during and after the event to understand resources and manage the client relationship.
- Ability to work independently and willingness to take ownership of your job
- Use senior staffing for training and guidance
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required
- Work in conjunction with Director of Business Development on leads, projects, proposals, and other tasks as assigned.
- Responsible for providing support to the sales team on large sales opportunities.
- Maintaining supplies of sales presentation materials, including slides and brochures
- Answering prospects questions regarding the company’s service options
- Entering customer information into Microsoft Dynamics
- Working with staff members from our operations department to develop leads to focus on existing market growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Sport Management or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Target Driven
- Strong ability to problem-solve and find new was of creating value and increasing profitability
- Willingness to learn and grow within BEST Crowd Management
- Previous experience with CRM system preferred
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
- Some travel may be required (less than 10%)
- Ability to pass a background check
