Job Summary

The Service Business Development Representative works in the service department. They work closely with the service department and service advisors by reviewing daily service appointments for up-sells and service leads.

This position is not ‘remote work’ capable and requires punctual, consistent, and regular attendance for all scheduled shifts. Missed work affects the day-to-day operations of the company. This in turn negatively impacts fellow employees through lowered morale and / or lost income opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job duties for the Service Business Development Representative include but are not limited to:

• Acts as a goodwill ambassador for the dealership by promoting professionalism and displaying excellent customer satisfaction skills.
• Reviews daily service appointments for potential up-sell and service leads.
• Builds and maintains personal relationships with existing customers.
• Completes follow-up calls, emails, and general contact utilizing DMS System.
• Conducts follows-up with customers that are “no show”.
• Acts as back-up for other department positions as needed for overflow, sick days, PPL days, etc.
• Answers inbound service calls as needed.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner following all company safety guidelines and policies.
• Performs other duties as requested or required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dealership environment is preferred, but not required. Good communication skills, negotiating skills, multi-tasking skills and computer skills a must. High school diploma or the equivalent is required. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, reliable, takes direction well, and is able to complete and follow up on tasks.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

This is an office environment requiring sitting for long periods of time. Candidate must be able to move about the complex in all weather conditions. Extended working hours may be required, which may include working at nighttime or weekends.
