Paramount Senior Living is looking to hire a Business Office Manager (BOM). This is a full-time position that will be based at our facility in Newark, Delaware.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS :
  • Associate’s degree in human resources or related field preferred, but not required.
  • Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years’ experience in an office coordinator/clerical administrative role.
  • Must have ability to communicate with residents and personnel, ability to read and write in English and ability to remain calm under stress.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The employee must be able to perform these essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation by the employer, without posing a direct threat to himself/herself or to others. (This list may not include all of the duties – this position will be responsible for other duties as assigned.)
  • Must be fully trained and able to effectively carry-out all functions of the Business Office.
  • Assists the department managers in recruitment and retention, under the direction of Corporate Human Resources. Train and assist managers with using the applicant tracking system and the flow of recruitment, hiring and selection process.
  • Work with management team to facilitate all employee retention programs as applicable to the facility. Ensures new hire orientation sessions are compliant with Paramount standards as well as applicable state and federal regulations and laws.
  • Conducts quarterly audit of employee files to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations as well as Paramount policies.
  • Ensures facilities are compliant with all new hire and annual training to align with state and federal regulations for the facility.
  • Manages and works with corporate human resources to conduct employee relations investigations.
  • Ensures that workers compensation incident or injury reports are timely submitted to the appropriate contact. Works with Corporate HR to manage workers compensation claims regarding loss time, modified duty, and returning to work.
  • Ensures facilities are compliant with all required state and federal postings. This includes labor law postings, workers compensation, OSHA, etc.
  • Works with Corporate HR to manage all FMLA claims.
  • Manages and assists employees with benefit enrollment at hire and during open enrollment.
  • Maintains confidentiality of facility and resident information at all times.
  • Displays a desire and ability to set and meet challenging objectives to find better or more efficient ways to do things and to compete against self-defined standard of excellence.
  • Displays initiative to act independently by taking effective action before being directed by supervisor or forced by events.
  • Interacts with residents, families, visitors, employees and the administrative team in a mature, responsible manner to ensure a positive and professional living and working environment.
  • Completes other projects within established time frames as assigned by the Executive Director or Corporate Human Resources.
