Business Operations Specialist Job at Growing Home Southeast

The Business Operations Specialist’s primary responsibility is to process payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivables and coordination of billing and collection processes. Additionally, the Business Operations Specialist should ensure compliance to all federal, state, COA, contract and other regulations and practices. Position supports HR Manager and Accountant.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Process bi-monthly payroll for staff.
- Responsible for electronic vendor file maintenance.
- Process approved check requests, contractor payments, and employee reimbursements.
- Reconcile Accounts Payable monthly.
- Invoicing tenant rents/room and board fees and processing payments.
- Order gift cards for Programs and maintain records of purchase.
- Send out monthly credit card reconciliations and record reconciled transactions in accounting software.
- Prepare and submit client billing electronically or hardcopy as required to the appropriate funding source within established timeframes.
- Prepare and/or distribute foster parent generator, billing, A/R aging, and other required or requested reports
- Maintain accounts receivable ledger noting and reporting discrepancies and supporting documentation within established timeframes.
- Enter, post and distribute payments
- Assist in resolving funding/payment disputes and discrepancies as necessary
- Establish and maintain close relationships with the appropriate personnel within each funding organization to establish a clear channel of communication
- Serve as support to enter client admission, authorization, discharge or other movement data into the billing software as needed
- Serve as backup to the Data Utilization Coordinator
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Skill and Experience Required: Associate Degree and at least three (3) years of experience in accounting/billing or Bachelor’s Degree and at least one year of experience in accounting/billing or accounting related field (preferred).
Quickbooks Online experience strongly preferred. Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft products: Word, Excel, Outlook. Strong analytical skills and financial data allocation. Must understand the basic principles of accounting as well as experience with payroll, billing and accounting software.

This is one full time position in our Corporate office located in Cayce, SC. While they may be remote work opportunities, position is primarily in the office. Work hours are Monday - Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM.
