In May 2022, the Volkswagen Group announced their plan to grow in America by investing in the revival of the iconic Scout brand and the development of all-electric pick-up trucks and rugged SUVs. To this end, a separate, independent company, Scout Motors, was established in the U.S. to design, engineer, and manufacture all-electric pick-up trucks and rugged SUVs in America, for American customers

By combining an entrepreneurial spirit with the backing of the Volkswagen Group, Scout Motors will unveil its first prototypes in 2023 and begin production in 2026. The electrified Scout brand will build upon a new technical platform concept which delivers rugged credibility beyond the existing Volkswagen Group portfolio. Scout Motors’ products will combine credible capability, American authenticity, and new American innovation to win in the core of the U.S. market and to win the approval of its brand enthusiasts.

Despite a new Scout not being sold in over 40 years, the Scout community is still as passionate as ever. Scout Motors will build upon this existing enthusiast community and the Scout brand’s legacy to reach new fans.

What you’ll bring

• Degree in business or relevant field
• At least 5 years of professional experience acquired in positions relevant to the role
• Proven experience in a business support function, preferably linked to facilities management or services
• Experience managing vendor scopes and performance
• Quality focus, with a high level of accuracy and an eye for detail
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization
• Thorough knowledge of IT tools (in particular MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• A collaborative approach - working as a team to achieve ambitious goals
• A passion for creating something new
  

What you’ll do

• Provide support and guidance to staff and managers on matters relating to business services, i.e. facilities management, office services, business travel, vehicle fleet, etc.
• Serve as the Administrator of the Corporate Vehicle Program including policy administration, fleet management, and problem resolution
• Liaison to business Travel and Event services suppliers, including event planning support and travel issue resolution
• Office operations including arranging for maintenance services, shipping/receiving, procuring assets and supplies, etc.
• Development of new vendor relationships, including scope design, service delivery, and performance management
• Track, analyze, and prepare reports on departmental performance against financial and operational targets
• Assist with the onboarding of new staff in the Company
• Any other tasks or projects as directed by the VP Administration
