BUYER - CLUB CHAMPION GOLF Job at Club Champion Llc
JOB SUMMARY: The Buyer is responsible for owning the relationship between Club Champion and various golf club product brands. This includes purchasing products, monitoring inventory levels, forecasting trends, planning new product releases, placing individual OEM orders and supporting sales and operations as the liaison between the individual brands and Club Champion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Issues purchase orders and get confirmations from vendors
- Develops and maintain strong relationships with new and existing vendors
- Negotiates with vendors to obtain best terms
- Manages requests for quotation
- Resolves supplier quality issues
- Resolves all vendor shipping errors for incorrect or damaged product
- Expedites the supply of critical items
- Maintains delivery schedules on all items ordered
- Maintains current cost data on all purchased items
- Maintains accurate lead times for orders and back orders
- Proactively communicate with our operations and build departments regarding back orders and other major delays
- Keeps our sales team apprised of any changes in line-item etas
- Minimizes risk by ensuring alternative sources of supply for critical items
- Analyzes inventory and sales data
- Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, procurement, finance, accounting, communication, or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in supply chain
- Retail experience is perferred
- Sports or Golf experience is a plus
- Product Management is a plus
- NetSuite experience is a plus
- Salesforce experience is a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Comprehensive knowledge of procurement technology and best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
- Achievement of goals and continuous improvement of purchasing KPIs
- High level of analytical ability to produce and interpret data and suggest or implement a course of action.
- The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
- Understanding of computerized inventory control systems
- Strong Negotiation Skills
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized

- Strong Work Ethic and Professional Demeanor
- Must be a team player, but also able to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives
