Summary:
- Perform various assigned duties to assist the Purchasing Department in obtaining quotations, following up on orders, maintaining files, maintenance of database accuracy, and emailing of reports to suppliers.
- Purchase items submitted through the PO requisition system.
- Manage all aspects of the consignment program.
- Expedite materials and maintain the PO acknowledgement email system. Discuss any problems that are discovered with the Purchasing Supervisor. Contact and work with the supplier as required.
- Correct invoicing inconsistencies and make database corrections as needed.
- Report major irregularities to the Purchasing Supervisor and assist where possible to initiate corrective measures.
- Look for ways to reduce costs through ordering efficiencies or using alternate suppliers for branded items.
Experience / Education:
Minimum of Associate's Degree in supply chain or related field with 2+ years purchasing experience in manufacturing with strong ERP knowledge.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year
