The Carderock Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center supports 3,200 scientists, engineers and technical personnel in more than 40 disciplines ranging from fundamental science to applied/in-service engineering.
Job Description:
- Responsible for installing Ethernet and fiber optic networks, network components, and network devices across base.
- Tests network connections, hauls network cables, and installs/maintains network drops.
- Interface with customers and Government oversight daily to ensure satisfaction
- Must be able to take direction from senior leadership
Required Skills/Abilities:
- DOD Secret Security Clearance
- Experience shall include running, connecting, and terminating 100BaseT and 1000Base-T (STP and UTP), multi and single mode fiber optic cable, VoIP, and installing network interface devices.
- MUST HAVE: Excellent customer service and oral & written communication skills
- Job may require travel to detachment locations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
