Job Description:
- Design, prepare and complete accurate drawings for submittal to owners on heavy highway projects (bridges/roadway) by utilizing CAD equipment and software
- We have a very supportive/mentoring company culture to assist as you get familiar with the technical aspects of the designs and role.
- Design and prepare detailed CAD engineered drawings, tables and/or scaled drawings from observation, measurements, sketches and specifications
- Work with construction operations teams to conceptualize and develop means, methods and construction plans.
- Coordinate various project schedules to manage needs of completed engineered submittals.
- Interface with project team as required to help resolve problems, ensure quality of construction, etc. in support of overall project.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Programs and Microsoft Office products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to coordinate with estimating and operations staff.
- Previous drafting and/or construction detailing is preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as in team environment
- Math, time management and critical thinking skills
- Ability to read construction plans
