CAD Technician Job at Kocher + Beck USA
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate MGCAD to produce quick-turning CAD files.
- Design dies for customers in the label and envelope industry.
- Work with Corel Draw, Auto CAD, Adobe Illustrator and Macromedia Freehand.
- Prepare drawings from customer samples and for customers.
- Prepare milling files for CNC machinists and ensure that all files are working properly.
- Operate the plotter as well as inspect and correct film.
Education/Certifications:
- A 2-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Some CAD experience is desirable, but not required.
Experience:
- Experience with graphic software is a plus.
Skills, Mental, and Physical Requirements:
- Proficient at math.
- Good understanding of relationships in geometrical shapes.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Communicate effectively with other departments.
- Possess a good understanding of the metric system.
- Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Windows.
