Job Description CAD Technician
Employment Full-Time

Kasberg, Patrick & Associates, LP (KPA Engineers) has provided creative solutions to infrastructure challenges in Texas communities since 1983. We are a professional engineering firm experienced in water resources, supply, treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, drainage, transportation and special civil engineering analysis and studies.
The CAD Technician is responsible for performing drafting work for a variety of Public Works projects. The position will include drafting work associated with preparation of plan and profiles, cross sections, traffic control, earthwork calculations for roadway, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection systems, storm sewer design, intersection layout projects as well as applicable details. The position also includes conceptual drawing layouts, project specific exhibits, master plan layouts, and any other exhibits and/or layouts required for project development. The position requires sound comprehensive knowledge of design and drafting techniques for engineered drawings. Responsible for drafting designs for complete and complex engineering systems, structures, and arrangements with supervision by a Project Manager.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education and training in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Able to use a wide range of software (excel, word, etc.)
- Able to read drawings and understand the interface between utilities, highways, and buildings
- Ability to produce technical drawings for a wide range of products and components, ideally in the field for transportation, drainage, and water/wastewater infrastructure
- Specialized courses in drafting, design, and engineering practices
- Associate degree in Applied Science Civil Drafting Technology

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $45.00 per hour
