Reports To: Cage Supervisor

SUMMARY

Processes personal checks, cash advance transactions, and TITO tickets in a courteous and timely manner. Records transactions for each guest in computer systems. Responsible for cash funds while on duty.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Facilitates all financial transactions.

Processes Winner’s Receipts, including foreign and non-foreign tax withholding forms.

Safeguards company assets and adheres to all Cage policies and procedures.

Maintains and is held accountable for all funds entrusted to him/her on an assigned shift.

Provides prompt, friendly, and courteous service to all Guests and Team Members in a confidential manner.

Ensures that all transactions are performed in compliance with Title 31 and are properly recorded in the system.

Must be a team player able to work well with others, neat in appearance with good hygiene.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum one (1) year of high-volume cash handling or equivalent. Banking experience preferred, however, candidates with related cashiering and Guest service background will be considered. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other Team Members of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Must possess basic math skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use a calculator by 10-key touch.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Ability to obtain and maintain a Lytton Tribal Gaming Commission gaming license at all times of employment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, climb ladders and access crawl spaces.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet in the back of the house and office areas to moderate on the Gaming floor.

Should be able to adapt well to the casino environment involving large numbers of people, loud and continuous high noise levels. Must also be able to psychologically handle the concept of persons occupying an establishment for the purpose of gambling, drinking, eating, and smoking for long periods of time.
