Ortho – Clinic Coordinator – Full Time Days – Req 6134

Reporting to the Director of PC Clinics, she is responsible for providing leadership, staff development, budgeting, and management of key services in accordance with policies and procedures and current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern health care facilities to assure each patient receives the necessary nursing, medical and psychosocial services to maintain the highest possible mental and physical functional status. The incumbent will assume administrative responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the clinic. The responsibilities include but is not limited to planning, organization and directing activities of the clinics, recommending changes in policy, procedures, staffing, scheduling, facilities, equipment’s and programs in order to achieve the Center’s objectives. The Incumbent must promote the philosophy, mission and vision of Carthage Area Hospital and will work closely with Administration, physicians and staff to accomplish the goals of the Clinic.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelors Degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration, or health related degree or equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum, five (5) years experience in a supervisory capacity in a practice, clinic or hospital.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Must possess the ability to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional staff.
  • Must have cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as a willingness to deal with patients, staff, and visitors at various maturity levels.
  • Must be able to maintain good staff relations and employee morale.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with laws, regulations, and guidelines governing personnel administration and be able to read and interpret financial records, reports, etc.
  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc.
  • Possesses the ability to see out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
